US Olympic Trials | Olympic Training Center

The 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials for BMX will take place on Saturday, June 16, at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. Participants, who have previously been named to USA Cycling’s BMX men’s long team, will compete in two time trials, three motos, and a single, main event final in order to determine a winner, who will then earn an automatic nomination to the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team.

Event Schedule

Saturday, June 16

  • 8 a.m. – Expo area opens
  • 1 p.m. — Doors Open to Public
  • 1:10 – 2:30 p.m. — Athlete Warm-up
  • 3 p.m. — Opening Ceremony
  • 3:05 p.m. — Time Trials begin
  • 3:55 p.m. — Moto 1
  • 4:25 p.m. — Moto 2
  • 4:45 p.m. — Moto 3
  • 5:10 p.m. — Finals
  • 5:15 p.m. — Award Ceremony
  • 5:30 p.m. — Post-Race Press Conference — Open to Accredited Media Only
  • 6 p.m. — Expo Closes
