So, as you know, my family and I were personally invited to the UCI Supercross this past weekend by Mr. King himself. Naturally, my family and I were super excited for this event since it was literally in our backyard and I am a BMX enthusiast. I was able to meet many great people and enjoy a day of BMX racing and a special VIP treatment. Bob Haro, Mike King, Eddy King, Todd Lyons, Stephen Murray, and Donny Atherton were just a few attendees within my immediate area. I am sure there were tons more, but I was not able to recognize them as I was engulfed in the BMX racing taking place. My son RL had a blast and kept telling me that he wanted to beat the guys on the bikes! hahaha. I actually can’t wait and hope his yearning for BMX stays strong since I have bikes ready for him.

USA took 4 out of the 6 podium spots with excellent competition out there. Not a bad day for Team USA! Fields took the number 1 spot for the Men’s Elite category and Martin pretty much swept her number 1 spot for the Women’s Elite category. Although, some of my favorites for this year, (Long, Day, and Robinson) had some unfortunate spills, I am still hopefully looking forward to their Olympic presence next year in London.
