It was easy to forget about the sunny San Diego heat yesterday as you walked around Green Flash Brewery during the 3rd annual Motor Union show looking at the mish-mash of cars, BMX bikes, and enthusiasts. Ok, maybe not entirely, BUT we all had refreshing beer to calm down with. I truly believe 5 & A Dime and Us Versus Them threw down a spectacular car show with some really rad raffle prizes and and an amazing grand prize; a set of HRE wheels!!!
We would like to thank the team over at 5 & A Dime for allowing us to showcase some old school, mid school, and new school BMX bikes with-in their show: Factory Motor Union. Factory Motor Union was a BMX bike show that we put on for the BMX community. Most folks didn’t know that “Jammin’ Jay” (5 & A Dime) used to race BMX heavily in Sacramento. Therefore, you see he has a passion for cars AND BMX racing! Our show mimicked Motor Union from the name down to how the winners were chosen, VOTES. Hopefully, next year we are welcome to participate again as I believe it will get better and better with time.
Thank you all for the support and participation! Special THANK YOU to all that contributed to the raffle prizes and vendors. Vendors this year were CBNC (Los Angeles), BUILD & DESTROY (San Diego), BROTHERS BIKE CO. (Simi Valley), and ARNETTE (Worldwide). If you didn’t get any raffle tickets, you kind of missed out. If you won any of the raffles, plain and simple; YOU CAME UP! hahahaha.
